KIELO

Kielo is a small glass lamp, which works alone in small spaces and also as a group of lamps in bigger spaces. When designing the Kielo Väyliö wanted to create soft, round shapes which are characteristic for glass as a material. The shape and object itself is easy to make and that way would be really cost-effective to produce even in bigger scale.

Kielo means Lily of the valley in Finnish and it is a woodland flowering plant with sweetly scented, pendent, bell-shaped white flowers borne in sprays in spring. Kielo is also the national flower of Finland and Väyliö was inspired by this flower.
